Children's Privacy Notice (COPPA)
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This notice explains how we handle the personal information of children under 13, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What we collect from children
For a user who indicates they are under 13, we collect only:
- A first name or nickname (a real full name is not required);
- An email address to operate the account;
- A birth year (to determine whether parental consent is required);
- A parent or guardian's name and email address;
- Learning progress created by using the Service (scores, XP, badges, practice-test results).
We do not require a child to disclose more than is reasonably necessary to use the Service, and we do not use children's information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the study tool.
Parental consent
Before a child under 13 can create an account, we require a parent or guardian to provide their name and email and to check a box giving consent at sign-up. We notify the parent by email that an account has been created. If we ever learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without the required consent, we will delete it.
Parental rights
As a parent or guardian, you may at any time:
- Review the personal information we have collected from your child;
- Request a copy (an export) of that information;
- Direct us to delete your child's information and account;
- Refuse further collection or use of your child's information (which may require closing the account).
To exercise these rights, email privacy@satgameprep.io from the address on file, or use the tools on the Account page. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity as the parent before acting.
No third-party advertising
We do not permit third-party advertising or behavioral tracking directed at children. We do not sell or share children's personal information.
